September 4, 2015 (FPRC) -- Steven Alford, a Roxbury, New Jersey resident was presented with the prestigious Presidents Volunteer Service Gold Level award (PVSA) by Shawn Adamo on behalf of the Caring Neighbors Network 9TCNN). The Caring Neighbors Network is a 501(C) 3 IRS approved non profit. Among other work that TCNN performs, the organization has been selected and approved as a certifying organization for the PVSA and is charged with investigation and verification that a recipient qualifies for this prestigious award.
Roxbury Township Manager Chris Raths presented a proclamation from the Mayor and Roxbury Township honoring Steve for receiving this prestigious award. New Jersey State Senator Bucco also sent a proclamation on behalf of the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly congratulation Steve on his incredible accomplishment. Unfortunately Senator Bucco was unable to attend but had a representative there to present the proclamation from New Jersey Also present as dignitaries were the District Governor and the Assistant District Governor of Rotary.
The award was presented to Steve at the Roxbury Rotary meeting where Steve currently serves as president. In attendance were almost 20 Rotarions from Roxbury. Steve has also been involved in Roxbury Township committees, Roxbury baseball, HS Booster clubs, and serves as an Interact Advisor to several hundred High School students.
Steve is the fourth resident of Roxbury Township to receive this award.
Steve is married, has a daughter who has graduated college, a son who is attending college and a daughter in High school.
