Melbourne, Victoria -- February 23, 2016 (FPRC) -- The Australian summer is now in full effect, and is continuing to redefine the limits of extreme heat, with bushfires now threatening almost every day. Pet owners in areas vulnerable to bushfires are often put under additional stress by these warnings, as leaving their dogs out in daytime can leave them at risk of falling victim to the fires, but their workplace won’t permit them to take their pets with them. Alpha Doggy Playcare is offering a safe haven for dogs threatened by bushfires, and has published a new post on Facebook describing what owners need to do to take advantage of the offer.

All dogs using the play service must undertake an initial assessment which costs just $30 dollars, together with having valid certificates of vaccination. With this in place, individuals living in the Dandenongs or other high risk areas can have a safe refuge for their dog, which can accommodate up to 90 canines in a safe, stimulating and social environment.

The center recommends that individuals have their initial assessment done before the next bushfire danger day, as trying to get the assessment and check in on the same day can be overwhelming due to the sudden spike in demand.

A spokesperson for www.AlphaDoggyPlaycare.com.au explained, “We are committed to offering the very best care to dogs and we understand that this is most important when that care is needed most, both by the dog and by their owner. We have created the Facebook post so people can see us on Facebook during their social time and get educated as to the active steps they can take to protect their dogs. We look forward to meeting many new beautiful dogs and their owners as we help them keep their beloved pets safe from the extremes of Australian weather.”
