May 20, 2017 (FPRC) -- Thermalabs has announced that it’ll donate at least 10% of its profits this year to charitable organizations. This is the third year in a row that the company has committed a significant chunk of its profitability to charity. While announcing the decision, a top-ranking official at the company, Alex Howard, said that the move is line with the company’s commitment to a skin-cancer free world.
Thermalabs is a premier producer of self-tanners and other cosmetics products. Thermalabs started out as an organization that created awareness against skin cancer before it actually started producing skincare products back in 2013. The firm is based in New York City. Thermalabs pilot launch, the original self-tanner, was a highly organic tanning lotion that was formulated from Aloe Vera, Green Tea, and other rare ingredients. The lotion delivered an instant tan within just four hours, which was a big deal at the time given that most of the competition’s products needed up to 6 hours to show results. The success that the company earned from this initial launched played an instrumental role in the success of its subsequent releases.
The 10% donation that the company will issue this year will focus on organizations in the skincare industry. These include nonprofits that create awareness against skin cancer, as well as educational institutions and missions that are working to create a cure for cancer. By channeling funds into these organizations, Thermalabs has said that it can directly work towards a skin-cancer free world while at the same time focusing its efforts on production of top-quality skincare products.
Among other things, Thermalabs manufactures organic self-tanners, sunscreen lotions, tanning accessories, beach shelters, and organic health products. Protectan, one of the firm’s most popular product, is a sunscreen lotion that keeps away the sun’s UVA and UVB rays. Skincare researchers have stated that millions of people suffer from skin cancer in the U.S alone. A significant portion of skin care diagnoses can be attributed to excessive exposure to the sun.
“Thermalabs will this year give 10% of its profits to charity, specifically nonprofits that create awareness against cancer, and educational missions that are researching a cure for cancer. From the very start, we have said that our company is committed to a skin-cancer free world. By donating to charity on one front, and creating top-quality products that promote skin health, on the other hand, we can more impactfully contribute to our mission. Our research and production team over in Israel is also working around the clock to create new products that are based on natural and organic ingredients…,” said Mr. Howard.
